Anthony Davidson, former F1 driver, believes that Max Verstappen should follow Lewis Hamilton’s approach to in-race scenarios after his collision with George Russell in Azerbaijan. Verstappen is currently leading the 2023 championship by six points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, with Red Bull being dominant this season. Davidson stated that Verstappen should be more conservative with his points advantage and avoid taking risks. He compared Verstappen’s approach to Hamilton’s method of playing the long game by giving up positions to retake them later. Verstappen eventually retook third place from Russell, but Davidson emphasized that he did not need to take any risks in the early clash. Verstappen will compete in the Miami Grand Prix this weekend and will be hoping to return to winning ways after missing out in Baku.
