Famous rally car driver and co-founder of Hoonigan and DC Shoes, Ken Block, passed away on Monday at the age of 55 due to a snowmobile accident on a steep slope in Utah. The accident occurred at 2 pm when the vehicle “upended, landing on top of him”. Block was riding with a group on the slopes, but he was alone at the time of the incident and suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. Hoonigan confirmed the news and described Block as a “visionary, a pioneer, and an icon”. The renowned driver competed in skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross during his career and was best known for his Gymkhana stunt driving videos that garnered over 50 million views on his YouTube channel. Block is survived by his wife, Lucy, and three children, including Lia, who is also a driver.
