Peyton Hillis, a former running back for the Cleveland Browns, has been released from the hospital after recovering from a swimming accident that occurred in Pensacola on January 4th. Hillis, who is 36 years old, had jumped into the ocean to save his children and was in critical condition before being released from the hospital on Thursday. In a Facebook post, Hillis’ sister announced his homecoming and stated that his health has improved significantly. She considers his speedy recovery a miracle, and attributes it to God’s guidance and protection. Hillis had a successful seven-year NFL career, playing two seasons with the Browns, where he gained significant recognition for his 2010 season. He retired in 2015, after experiencing several concussions. Hillis appeared in a 2020 horror film, The Hunting, with his girlfriend Angela Cole. His incident happened shortly after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on-field due to a cardiac arrest.
