Luka Doncic to cover funeral expenses for victims of school shooting in Belgrade

Dallas Mavericks player Luka Doncic announced that he will pay for the funerals of the children and security guard who were killed in a Belgrade school shooting. Doncic, who has a Serbian father and plays basketball for Slovenia, will also fund grief counseling for the classmates and staff. In a statement, he expressed his heartbreak for the tragic incident and extended his support to the families and the affected community. Doncic also revealed that he is exploring ways to provide immediate and long-term assistance to the students, faculty, and families impacted by the shooting at the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School. The shooting left eight children and a security guard dead, while six students and a teacher were injured. A 13-year-old boy and both his parents have been arrested in connection with the incident.
