Former Tottenham player, Anton Walkes, remembered as a humble and kind person after passing away at 25.

Anton Walkes, a former Tottenham and Portsmouth defender, has passed away at the young age of 25. Charlotte FC, the Major League Soccer team that he last represented in the 2022 season, confirmed his death on Thursday after an accident in South Florida. Walkes made his debut for Spurs in a Carabao Cup match with Gillingham in 2016, having progressed through their academy. He then spent two years with Portsmouth before signing with Charlotte FC ahead of the 2022 season and playing 24 times for the team. Walkes was remembered as a talented player who brought joy to the lives of everyone he met. Charlotte FC and MLS extended their condolences to his family and loved ones. Walkes’ former clubs, Spurs and Portsmouth, also expressed their sadness and paid their respects to the young footballer.
