UFC fighter cautioned on mentioning pay during interview caught on hot mic.

A video has been shared on Twitter that appears to show UFC announcer Bruce Buffer telling a fighter not to mention pay during his post-fight interview. The video allegedly documents the aftermath of Damir Hadzovic’s TKO win against Marco Polo Reyes in 2019. In the footage, Hadzovic subtly tells Buffer that he doesn’t get paid enough to do what he does. Buffer responds by saying that if Hadzovic continues to fight like he did in that fight, he will eventually earn more money. However, Buffer also laughs and tells Hadzovic not to mention money in his post-fight interview. Hadzovic later goes on to say that he won’t beg for a performance bonus, and Buffer simply responds by saying he hopes Hadzovic gets it. Many fighters have criticised the UFC for underpaying its athletes, a topic that is frequently discussed. The UFC’s president, Dana White, typically defends the amount UFC fighters are paid.
