Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have come face-to-face for the first time ahead of their anticipated UFC fight later this year. The match is shrouded in uncertainty, with no confirmed date, location, or weight class and McGregor’s absence from the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s testing pool creating additional complications for his return to the ring. Despite this uncertainty, interest in the fight is escalating, and McGregor took to Twitter to share photos of himself standing face-to-face with American Chandler, captioning the photos, “Millions and millions and millions of ppv [pay-per-view] buys”. Chandler previously suggested that his fight with McGregor, the first ever dual-weight UFC champion, could be the ‘biggest UFC PPV we’ve ever seen’. While both fighters have lost three of their last four fights, McGregor remains a significant draw in the sport, and Chandler has become a fan favourite since joining the UFC in 2021.
