Conor McGregor Criticizes Justin Gaethje’s UFC Threat as ‘Bird-Brained’

Justin Gaethje’s threat to leave the UFC if Conor McGregor is granted a title shot has been slammed by the Irishman, who called his fellow lightweight a “bird brain”. Gaethje recently outpointed Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286 in London and many have speculated that McGregor will be rewarded with a title fight if he beats Michael Chandler later this year. Gaethje indicated he would quit the UFC if McGregor was given the bout instead of him. McGregor responded by calling the fighter a “braindead fool”, pointing out Gaethje’s two previous title attempts ended in defeat, the last at the hands of current champion Charles Oliveira last May.
