Brazilian kickboxer, Alex Pereira, has criticized his rival, Israel Adesanya, for mocking his son during their UFC fight. Pereira lost to Adesanya via knockout in the second round during the main event of UFC 287. As Adesanya celebrated his victory, he spotted the 35-year-old’s son in the crowd and proceeded to point at him and flop to the mat in a mocking gesture. Pereira claims that he would not have acted the same way and expressed concern about his rival targeting a child. After their bout, the two fighters spoke backstage, with Adesanya suggesting that they could train together in the future. Pereira said he holds no grudges and is willing to be good with everyone, but he still disagrees with Adesanya’s behavior towards his son.
