Victory at Miami Open grants Daniil Medvedev another title

Daniil Medvedev emerged victorious in the Miami Open after beating Jannik Sinner 7-5 6-3 in a comprehensive win at Hard Rock Stadium. Sunday’s win marked Medvedev’s fourth trophy and fifth final in as many tournaments and made it 19 titles in 19 different cities for the Russian. The victory also puts him 600 points ahead of Novak Djokovic in the battle to be crowned year-end ATP number one. Speaking after the match, Medvedev expressed his desire to win his first title on clay and to defend his titles in tournaments such as Barcelona and Madrid. In addition, he praised his opponent Sinner, stating that he was more consistent during the match.
