Barcelona Open: Rafael Nadal pulls out due to being unprepared

Rafael Nadal has stated that he will not be participating in the Barcelona Open due to his injury recovery. The tennis player, aged 36, tweeted that he is still not fit enough to participate in the tournament, a competition that he has won 12 times before. Nadal has suffered from a hip injury sustained during the Australian Open, meaning he has already been forced to withdraw from this year’s Indian Wells, Miami Open, and Monte Carlo Masters competitions. He referred to the Barcelona Open as a special event for him since it is his adopted club, and he always cherishes the opportunity to play at home. However, he maintains that he is not yet fit enough for the tournament, and he wishes good luck to his friend David Ferrer and his team for the successful running of the event.
