Lando Norris, driver for McLaren, is disappointed with his seventh-place finish in qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Despite a respectable performance, Norris believes that he should have qualified in fourth place. His team had brought an improved car for the unique street circuit in Baku, and both Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri qualified for the final session of qualifying. Norris felt that the car was working well and he had done a good job with his driving. However, he also felt that the team did not make the right decisions and that they could have performed much better. He is disappointed that they are not better positioned for the sprint race due to the missed opportunity. Despite feeling that the car is a second off, he believes that they were quick enough for fourth place.
