Max Verstappen Dismisses Lewis Hamilton’s Claim of Red Bull Being the Fastest Car Ever

Max Verstappen has dismissed Lewis Hamilton’s comment that the 2023 Red Bull car is the fastest he has ever seen. Verstappen won the opening two races in Bahrain and Australia, with teammate Sergio Perez winning in Saudi Arabia, with the Red Bull car consistently ahead of the field. Despite this, Verstappen believes his team has not established dominance like Mercedes did between 2014 and 2021, winning eight straight Constructors’ titles. Verstappen stated that he was unconcerned by Hamilton’s remarks and that the only option is to try to close the gap to dominant teams like Mercedes. Mercedes has been working on an alternative design concept to compete with Red Bull and is hopeful of implementing upgrades by race six in Imola.
