Ruben Selles thinks Southampton should secure a victory prior to pivotal Forest match.

Ruben Selles is of the opinion that Southampton has been performing better than their results suggest lately and that they deserve more as they head into a crucial Premier League relegation clash with Nottingham Forest. Currently rooted at the bottom of the table, Southampton is six points behind safety with four matches left to play. Although they have failed to secure a win since defeating Leicester on March 4, they have shown some promise in recent games against Arsenal and Newcastle, which gives them hope ahead of their upcoming trip to the City Ground.
“For us right now it is about changing the dynamic of results, try to get that victory that we need and I think we deserve,” said Selles, adding that the team needs to demonstrate that they are still competitive and capable of winning games while also finding a way to turn things around. Selles acknowledged the responsibility for the team’s form falls on both the staff and players and emphasized the need for unity and better strategy going forward. Southampton has managed only one point in their last six games, having conceded two late goals in the 3-3 draw at the Emirates last month.
