The MLS All Stars and Arsenal will face off in Washington DC this summer, with Wayne Rooney at the helm as coach. Rooney, who took on the role as the DC United coach in July of last year, will lead the team he used to represent against the Premier League leaders in the 2023 MLS All Star Game. The match is set to take place midway through the Major League Soccer season and after the Premier League season has ended at Audi Field in Washington DC on 19 July. Rooney is excited about this opportunity and stated that it will be a highlight for him and an unforgettable experience for their passionate fan base in DC. Rooney’s DC United is currently sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, while Arsenal is eight points clear at the top of the Premier League with 10 games to go.
