A group of nine lawyers, including Sidney Powell and Lin Wood, who challenged Michigan’s 2020 election results in favor of Joe Biden, should face disciplinary action for misconduct according to the state Attorney Grievance Commission. The lawyers supported a lawsuit on behalf of Republican voters seeking to decertify the election results, which exposed the legal profession to “contempt,” said the commission. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed, and the nine lawyers were ordered to attend 12 hours of legal education and pay $175,000 in legal fees, which are currently being appealed. The complaint against the lawyers now goes to the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board for further consideration.
