Hundreds of pounds of cooked pasta has been discovered dumped in a wooded area in Old Bridge Township, leaving the New Jersey town puzzled. The discovery was made by Nina Jochnowitz, a community leader, who was running for city council in the town. She posted pictures of the 500-pound mountain of spaghetti and noodles on Facebook and dubbed the incident “Mission Impastable.” Jochnowitz criticised town officials and claimed that the situation was ignored until she publicised it. Her photographs attracted social media attention and provoked a string of food puns. The perpetrator remains unknown.
