Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist who was ordered to pay nearly one billion dollars to Sandy Hook families for falsely claiming the shooting was a hoax, was pranked on Thursday with an AI-generated imitation of Tucker Carlson’s voice. The prankster, Chris James, who goes by the name Prank Stallone on Twitter, is known for prank calling conservative and conspiracy theorist figures. Jones was visibly upset and threatened to pursue legal action against James, claiming that Tucker Carlson’s lawyers were involved and that what James had done was a crime. Jones accused James of making sexual threats and demanded his arrest, eventually dedicating an entire half-hour rant to the subject on his show. The prank generated controversy on social media, with Jones’ fans responding with both support and deranged threats. The call will reportedly be featured in a video James plans to release on Monday.
