Like many in the world since March of 2020, Jenell Diegor, a writer and filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada, suddenly found herself with a lot of extra time on her hands. At first she spent the time catching up on rest and cleaning her apartment from top to bottom. But then she decided to make use of the time to work on some writing projects.
After a slight bout of writer’s block, she found herself completing 13 stories in the mystery and thriller genres. She bound them together and released The Wrong House and Other Stories, her latest short fiction anthology.
“I couldn’t write for several weeks, I don’t know what was stopping me. Then just suddenly, it all came out and I couldn’t stop writing. This is the product!” Diegor said. “Hopefully I can continue to harness it while I still have time. Toronto is slowly opening back up but my regular job is at a bar and we are probably the last ones to open.”
The Wrong House and Other stories can be purchased as a paperback or an ebook via Diegor’s website, asianonamission.com. You can keep up with her on Instagram @_.jenell.
