As a science journalist, there are some tales that you simply go back to time and again. There is local weather trade, after all – the most important tale of our time. Then there are the large questions, akin to “what is consciousness?” or “are we alone in the universe?”, and so forth. But one of the most tales I simply can’t let move of is a mathematical argument that has been raging for over a decade. I name it “the proof that is only true in Japan”.
