A youth picture of a brother and sister from Cornwall has been reunited with them after turning up greater than 300 miles away in a Lincolnshire charity store.
Chris Kirkum, 32, from Holsworthy, Devon, and his sister Jade Kirkum, 30, from Bude, Cornwall, had been simply kids after they posed for the picture at Bude Junior School.
Decades later, the framed image resurfaced in an Age UK store in Boston, Lincolnshire the place it used to be posted on a Facebook crew for quirky charity store unearths.
Ms Kirkum, who used to be tagged through anyone she had long past to university with, stated: “I clicked on the link and couldn’t believe it, it was us, it was the most bizarre thing.”
Mr Kirkum, a mechanic, stated: “I was doing the washing up when Jade showed me the post.
“I could not imagine it, a photograph people from number one college, simply sitting there in a store loads of miles away.”
Chloe Poole, a local administration assistant, saw the post and retrieved the photo from the shop.
She posted it to Ms Kirkum, who received it a few days later.
“I’m simply satisfied she were given it again,” stated Ms Poole.
“Photos hang such a lot of reminiscences.”
The siblings do not know how the photo ended up so far from home, but suspect it may have been donated by a family member.
“It simply displays how robust social media may also be,” said Ms Kirkum.
“It’s wonderful this picture discovered its long ago.”
