Losing Things Faster At Very Long Distance…: CDS Gen Chauhan On Operation Sindoor Against Pakistan

Operation Sindoor: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Tuesday made a scathing observation towards Pakistan whilst clarifying that why Islamabad suggested for cessation of hostilities. He additionally stated that effects are necessary and drew a cricket analogy to provide an explanation for his stand. During a unique lecture on ‘Future Wars and Warfare’ at Savitribai Phule University in Pune, Maharashtra, CDS Chauhan stated, “When I was asked about losses on our side, I said these are not important. The results and how you act are important. It would not be very correct to talk about losses…,” he stated. 

CDS Chuahan said that Operation Sindoor isn’t over but; there’s a cessation of hostilities briefly. 

“Operation Sindoor is not over as yet. It continues. It’s a temporary cessation of hostilities. There is a need to keep our guard up. As far as the Pakistani side is concerned, I can make two guesses. One, that they were losing things faster at a very long distance, and they thought that if this continued for some more time, they were likely to lose more, and hence they picked up the telephone…” the CDS added. 

He added that during a cricket fit, when a workforce wins via an innings defeat, there aren’t any questions on balls, gamers, and wickets. 

“Suppose you pass to a cricket check fit, and also you win via an innings defeat, then there is no query of what number of wickets, what number of balls, and what number of gamers… Based on technical parameters, we will be able to take out this actual information and proportion it with you. We will let you know what number of airplane we destroyed and what number of radars we destroyed. We’ll make a coarse evaluation of that and are available out with that in a while.” Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan stated.

Operation Sindoor 

The Indian Armed Forces introduced Operation Sindoor throughout the early hours on May 7, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). These steps had been taken to avenge the grotesque terror assault in Pahalgam on April 22, wherein 26 civilians had been killed and a number of other others had been injured. (With ANI inputs)
