‘Identical to a 4 stack pizza’: Radio host’s $1000 wedding ceremony cake crisis

Brittany Hockley’s wedding ceremony to her spouse Ben Siegrist seemed image best, however there used to be one component that used to be a whole flop.

“We have to talk about the wedding cake,” Hockley stated in a dialog with Siegrist and her co-host Laura Byrne on their Life Uncut Podcast.

”Can you even call it a wedding cake?”

Hockley shared a photograph of the lovely sponge cake she had ordered. It featured two layers of sponge adorned with piped white cream and used to be crowned with colourful contemporary berries.

Then she shared a photograph of the unlucky cake she gained.

“It was not what we’d ordered at all,” Siegrist stated as he recalled the cake.

Instead of the 2 layers of sponge that they ordered, the cake resembled flakey puff pastry as an alternative. It used to be whole with an off white cream and a mixture of vibrant berries.

“I kid you not – this cake looked identical to a four stack pizza,” Byrne defined

“It appeared like anyone had gotten 4 humongous superb pizzas and layered them on best of one another.

“It used to be lined in blueberries which appeared like olives after which little minimize up strawberries however they appeared like cherry tomatoes.”

“It used to be like getting a cake on Temu,” Byrne added. 

Hockley recoiled as she recalled the wedding cake disaster.

“It used to be so unhealthy,” she said.

Then when Hockley and Siegrist tried to cut it, it was too burnt to cut and instead “crumbled in all places”.

As she tried to grapple with the disappointing cake in front of guests and her wedding photographer, Hockley laughed that she had had enough of it.

“I actually stated, ’prevent filming’. I stated, ‘Take it away, no pictures, not anything to look right here’,” she recalled.

The couple’s unfortunate ‘expectations versus reality’ moment ended up setting them back $1000.

“It used to be $1000 for that burnt pizza,” Hockley admitted.

But at least the wedding cake flop served for a funny story.

“When they lie on their CV,” Hockley captioned the podcast clip on her Instagram.

“What used to be delivered used to be surely now not what we ordered however we could not prevent guffawing.”

In the comment section, Hockley’s friend and former colleague Mitch Churi, who attended the wedding, admitted that the cake tasted as bad as it looked.
