Apart from Official Secrets Act, Jyoti is being held below Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) Section 152, which is relating to acts endangering sovereignty, harmony, and integrity of India.
Earlier, Jyoti was once interrogated for allegedly sharing delicate knowledge with Pakistan. According to police, she additionally allegedly met with a Pakistani officer, Ahsan-ur-Rahim, in Delhi, and travelled to Pakistan two times.
