- Bruna Conce was once within the temper for sushi however did not need to depart her rental, so she grew to become to Uber Eats
- Conce was once surprised when a big bouquet of roses was once brought to her door as a substitute of her dinner
- She posted a video in regards to the plant life on TikTok, however by no means discovered the supposed recipient or thriller sender
When a lady positioned a late-night sushi order via Uber Eats, she was once anticipating highly spiced tuna rolls — now not a romantic marvel.
Instead of dinner, she opened her door to search out a big bouquet of purple roses sitting on her doorstep.
What she to begin with believed was once a considerate gesture grew to become out to be a supply blunder, so Bruna Conce took to TikTok to search for the plant life’ rightful proprietor.
“Honestly, I didn’t think much of it at first. I was definitely surprised, but not suspicious,” Conce tells PEOPLE solely. “My boyfriend had sent me flowers earlier that week, so I just assumed he was being extra romantic.”
With Valentine’s Day proper across the nook, she concept the supply may well be a part of an ongoing romantic streak. “My immediate thought was, ‘Wait… is this his way of saying I’m not getting flowers on Valentine’s Day?’ Because that would’ve made it three bouquets in one week,” Conce remembers.
However, there was once no title or card connected to the plant life. “At first, I brushed it off, my boyfriend always sends me flowers without a note, so it felt normal,” she says.
But when she known as her boyfriend to thank him, she briefly learned one thing was once off. “He looked even more confused than I was,” she says. “That’s when it clicked: this wasn’t from him.”

Though the mix-up made for a shaggy dog story, the placement left her extra disillusioned than thrilled. “Okay, so to be honest… I was hungry,” she admits. “The flowers were beautiful and all, but I had been counting down the minutes for that sushi.”
Conce positioned her order 30 mins prior to the eating place closed, so when the app marked it as “delivered” and not using a sushi in sight, it began to make sense.
The supply mishap didn’t simply smash her dinner plans – it sparked a wave of guilt for the supposed recipient.
“What if she was really looking forward to them? What if someone had carefully planned a sweet surprise? Meanwhile, I’m just sitting here with someone’s romantic gesture… and a growling stomach,” Conce says. “And what if she hates sushi? It was a lose-lose.”
Determined to mend the error, she reached out to the Uber motive force who delivered the order. “I still had the Uber driver’s number from our earlier messages, I’d sent him directions to my building, so I called him,” she explains. “I told him I was waiting for sushi, not a bouquet, and when he realized the mix-up, he was just like, ‘Oh! Just keep them.’ I was like, ‘No, sir, I can’t just keep them! Someone out there is waiting for these flowers!’ ”
Unfortunately, Conce’s makes an attempt to track the landlord hit a wall. “I begged him to tell me where he accidentally delivered the sushi, so I could do a little switcheroo, but he said he couldn’t give me that info,” she unearths.
“I even submitted an official inquiry to Uber explaining the whole situation, hoping they’d at least notify the person who was left flowerless,” Conce provides. “I also posted a video asking if anyone nearby randomly received sushi they didn’t order… but sadly, I never found her. It still haunts me.”

By the time she had exhausted all sources, it was once already round 10 p.m., and Conce felt utterly defeated. “I was hungry and emotionally invested in a flower mystery I couldn’t solve,” she tells PEOPLE. “I just took it as a sign from the universe that I should stick to my diet and go to bed early instead.”
Though she’s had minor mishaps with deliveries prior to, this one sticks out. “I’ve definitely done the classic ‘oops, I sent it to my old address’ thing before, which is always painful,” Conce admits. “But I’ve never had a full-blown identity swap like this where I ended up with someone’s order instead of mine. It was so random, but also just really, really funny.”
If Conce may ship a message to the girl who by no means were given her bouquet, it might be this: “The flowers were stunning. Whoever sent them clearly cares about you and wanted to make your day special. So if you were mad at them for any reason… maybe give them a second chance! They were sabotaged! And also, I hope you enjoyed my sushi.”
