Woman charged with tried abduction of child in Blackpool

A lady has been charged after the tried abduction of a toddler close to Blackpool prom.

Members of the general public and the child’s mum or dad intervened when the lady attempted to stroll away with the pram with the child within at about noon on Saturday, Lancashire police mentioned.

Nicolette Goldrick, from Marton Drive , has been charged with kid abduction and police attack.

The 51-year-old has been remanded in custody and is because of seem at Lancaster Magistrates Court on Monday.

Ch Insp John Jennings-Wharton mentioned the tried abduction was once being “treated as an isolated incident” and police aren’t in search of anyone else with regards to the incident which came about close to Coral Island.
