When Did India Carry Out Its First Surgical Strike In NDA Or UPA Era?

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor ignited an issue along with his observation that India’s first cross-Line of Control (LoC) surgical strike passed off in 2016,  The Indian Army’s information appear to enhance Tharoor’s statement, whilst, the Congress celebration briefly distanced itself from his observation. 

In 2016, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, the then-Army Northern Command Chief, said that the September 2016 surgical moves had been a “first” in their type.

“Army does no longer have any information touching on surgical moves if performed ahead of September 29, 2016,” the RTI answer mentioned, News 18 reported.
