A girl from the United Kingdom has turn into the oldest individual on this planet, on the age of 115 and 252 days.
Ethel Caterham, who lives at a care house in Lightwater, Surrey, reached the milestone following the loss of life of Brazilian nun Sister Inah Canabarro Lucas, elderly 116 on Wednesday.
Ms Caterham was once born on 21 August 1909 and is the closing surviving matter of Edward VII.
Celebrating her 115th birthday in August 2024, she stated she “didn’t know why there was all the fuss”.
She stated the name of the game to her longevity was once “never arguing with anyone, I listen and I do what I like”.

‘Remarkable milestone’
On her 115th birthday, Ms Caterham gained a letter from the King congratulating her on a “truly remarkable milestone”.
The King conveyed his “warmest good wishes” and “hoped that Ethel enjoys her incredibly special day”.
The letter said that His Majesty was once “heartened to learn about Ethel’s fascinating personal history”.
Ms Caterham was once born in Shipton Bellinger, in Hampshire, and was once raised in within sight Tidworth in Wiltshire.
She was once the second one youngest of 8 kids.

At the age of 18, she was once hired as an au pair to an army circle of relatives in India.
She returned to the United Kingdom in 1931 and met her long term husband, Norman Caterham. They married at Salisbury Cathedral in 1933.
Mr Caterham changed into a lieutenant colonel within the military, and the couple have been stationed in Hong Kong and Gibraltar.
In Hong Kong, Ms Caterham arrange a nursery.
She has lived throughout the sinking of the Titanic, World War One, the Russian Revolution, the Great Depression and World War Two.

Ms Caterham is also one of the oldest people to survive Covid-19, after contracting it in 2020 at the age of 110, according to Guinness World Records.
Mark McKinley, director of information at Guinness World Records, informed the BBC: “Ethel by no means got down to be a file breaker.
“But we’re hoping to meet her some time soon and present her with her certificate.”
