At Petite Feet, a non-public day nursery in Newtownabbey, Country Antrim, drugs and TVs aren’t a part of the day-to-day schedule.

Prof Karen Winter from Queen’s University Belfast co-authored the UK-wide Toddlers, Tech and Talk project, led by Prof Rosie Flewitt from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Prof Winter mentioned there are “advantages” to children having access to digital technology and there are benefits against it.

She added the technique to virtual use must be a dialogue between the nursery and oldsters.
