Former Wales rugby celebrity Jamie Roberts has mentioned this is a “privilege” to sign up for the NHS as a resident physician, 12 years after graduating from Cardiff University’s scientific faculty.
The 38-year-old, who has gained 94 caps for Wales and featured in two British and Irish Lions excursions, made his global debut in 2008 whilst nonetheless a scientific scholar.
He now starts two years of basis coaching in hospitals throughout south Wales.
“I’m excited to go back into something and contribute to society in a different way,” Roberts added.
