OL Ashley Walker seems to be again at Arkansas soccer dedication

Ashley Walker spent a while in Fayetteville this spring, eager about Arkansas sufficient to pencil in an legit talk over with for the weekend of June 13.

“A few colleges have hit me up and congratulated about my dedication. I’m no longer recently making plans some other OVs with different colleges.”

Double-digit offers came in for Walker this year, including the Arkansas tender. After unofficial visits to UA, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Syracuse and others, it was time to shut things down with a pledge.

Now Walker isn’t looking back.

“I made a dedication to the college, and I don’t see a explanation why pass talk over with different colleges whilst being dedicated elsewhere,” he said. “Now that I’m dedicated, I will be able to change into much less desirous about my recruitment and extra desirous about getting ready for this upcoming season.”

The Lions and Walker just wrapped up spring football ahead of an ambitious title defense, kicking off with a national game against fellow national power Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy in August.

Walker was at West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman High School in 2024. The transition to CMHS not only accelerated his recruitment, but the competition level every day as well.

“It’s been nice thus far,” he said. “The schooling and soccer has been very balanced. The atmosphere is superb as neatly. We all push every different to be nice, and we are locking in on our purpose to win any other state championship.”

Beyond the time in South Florida, there is an extra layer of excitement for the versatile blocker to play SEC football at the next level under a coach like Sam Pittman.

“Coach Pittman has a lot of wisdom and takes delight into growing the most efficient offensive lineman,” Walker said. “He coached a very long time as an OL trainer — which is why I selected Arkansas…to be told and turn out to be one of the most very best.”
