Ten MLAs, together with 8 from the BJP, one from the NPP, and one Independent, met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, difficult the formation of a ‘fashionable’ executive within the violence-hit state.

President’s Rule used to be imposed in Manipur on February 13, days after BJP chief N. Biren Singh resigned as Chief Minister. Ethnic warfare broke out within the State on May 3, 2023, inflicting the lack of lives of masses of other folks.
The unrest in Manipur basically concerned clashes between the bulk Meitei neighborhood and the minority Kuki-Zomi tribes. Tensions escalated over disputes associated with financial advantages, process quotas, and land rights. The violence ended in masses of fatalities and displaced roughly 60,000 people.
