Cows had been rescued after a farm animals lorry overturned at the M1 toll road on Friday morning.
The highway, each eastbound and westbound, stays closed as are living livestock transferred to some other lorry wait to be moved off website online, in addition to the overturned lorry.
David Doherty, space commander for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), stated the motive force “is safe and well”.
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) stated a small choice of cows had been put down and the westbound junction 11 to junction 12 is prone to stay closed till lunchtime.
The fireplace carrier and two animal rescue groups attended the scene, with 40 livestock concerned within the incident.
Mr Doherty instructed BBC Radio Ulster’s The Nolan Show that 30 firefighters had been on the scene together with home equipment from Dungannon, Portadown and Armagh.
He added that vets had been on the scene to evaluate the animals’ welfare along the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (Daera).
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) stated motorists travelling city-bound at the M1 must go away the toll road at junction 15, the Moy Road roundabout, and go back and forth thru Armagh ahead of becoming a member of the M12 at Portadown.
The reverse applies to these travelling at the country-bound lane.
