Katie Thurston and Jeff Arcuri are fortunately married — and aren’t right here for any grievance that they allegedly rushed their union as a result of her ongoing most cancers fight.
Thurston, 34, reposted a social media person’s remark about their courting onto her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 11.
“I think Jeff felt guilty and needed to be rushed because she has stage 4 breast cancer,” the Instagram person wrote. “Like, when she dies, u will be single. … Geez, only seven months and then marriage? I pray they know what they are doing.”
In addition to screenshotting the messages, Thurston recorded a selfie video of herself lip-synching, “That was rude. That was very f***ing rude,” from Broadway’s Something About Her musical.
Us Weekly solely showed in March that Thurston and Arcuri, 36, were given married in an intimate rite ahead of she began most cancers remedy. (The former Bachelorette’s most cancers has since unfold to her liver, which means a chemotherapy spherical used to be postponed.)
“It was so sweet. Obviously, we were wanting to plan a wedding and there’s a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don’t know what the next year looks like,” Thurston exclusively advised Us. “And one night time he stated, ‘I want to show you that I still love you and that I’m right here to stick. I’ll get married to you the following day.’ We flew our folks in from Michigan and Washington State. We were given our marriage license and a chum is solely gonna marry us.

She added, “It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health. He is proving that he’s here to stay. He shows up every day and he does it in ways that just continue to surprise.”
Arcuri, for his phase, close down any perceived notions of increasing their timeline in the similar interview with Us. (Arcuri proposed in August 2024 after a number of months of courting. Thurston used to be identified with breast most cancers in February 2025.)
“I want to be able to be in the hospital with her and just be like, ‘My wife’s in there.’ There’s more power to that,” Arcuri advised Us. “I don’t want to be not with you for any of this.”
Thurston, in the meantime, had any other message for the haters on Sunday.
“My face when people cheer for me to get engaged on a reality TV show, but judge [me] for moving on too fast in real life,” she wrote, sharing throwback photos from her The Bachelorette promo shoot.
Thurston set her add to Miley Lynn’s tune “F*** You (Very Much).”
Thurston and Arcuri are recently doing long-distance whilst he’s on excursion as a comic.
“Speaking of my amazing husband, he’s currently in Amsterdam and he has informed me that he would like to relocate as a resident in Amsterdam,” Thurston, who lives in New York City together with her partner, stated in a separate video posted on Sunday. “Kudos to you guys for doing that [and] anyone here in the States who ever uprooted their life and now lives over there.”
