India Extends Airspace Closure For Pakistani Airlines Till June 23

India on Friday prolonged realize to airmen (NOTAM) for Pakistan flights for one month, to be in impact until June 23, 2025. According to ANI, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) mentioned that the Indian airspace isn’t licensed for ACFTs registered in Pakistan and ACFTs operated, owned, or leased via Pakistani airways or operators, together with army flights.

Earlier, the MoCA on April 30 had mentioned that India issued a NOTAM and closed its airspace for Pakistan-registered, operated, or leased airplane, airways, and army flights. 

According to media experiences, previous, Pakistan had additionally prolonged airspace closure for Indian airways until June 24, 2025. 

After the Pahalgam terror assault, which claimed 26 lives, New Delhi introduced a chain of measures towards Islamabad. As according to ANI, in reaction, Pakistan closed its airspace for all Indian owned or Indian operated airways.

This additionally comes after the Indian Armed Forces had introduced Operation Sindoor on May 7, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Following this, the neighboring country introduced drone and missile assaults on Indian territory.
