FACT CHECK: Explosions At Jaipur Airport? Heres What PIB Has To Say

The central authorities on Saturday debunked a picture doing the rounds on social media claiming explosions on the Jaipur Airport. Confirming that the claims are “fake”, PIB reality examine mentioned that the airport is protected.

The PIB reality examine shared an X put up of District Collector & Magistrate, Jaipur, to verify that the photographs of explosions at Jaipur Airport being shared are deceptive. “This news is baseless and misleading. Jaipur airport is completely safe,” Jaipur District Collector mentioned in his put up.

Meanwhile, the PIB’s fact-checking unit, early Friday morning, debunked a broadly circulating video on social media claiming to turn Pakistani assaults on Hazira Port in Gujarat and a drone assault in Jalandhar.

The PIB mentioned the Hazira Port video is an unrelated video “confirmed to depict an oil tanker explosion”.

The pictures captures an oil tanker explosion that took place on July 7, 2021, and Pakistan is falsely propagating it as its assault at the port.

Another video claimed to turn the aftermath of a drone assault in Jalandhar. In a put up on X, PIB fact-check clarified that the video is unrelated and depicts a farm fireplace.

PIB’s put up mentioned, “Drone Attack in Jalandhar. This drone strike video from #Jalandhar is widely circulating on social media#PIBFactCheck This is an unrelated video of a farm fire. The video has the time 7:39 PM, while the drone attack began later.”
