The LPGA’s Board of Directors elected Craig Kessler because the group’s 10th commissioner on Thursday.

Kessler, 39, maximum not too long ago served as the executive working be offering for the PGA of America.

His tenure starts on July 15 as he replaces Mollie Marcoux Samaan, who stepped down in January.

Kessler’s appointment comes right through the LPGA’s landmark 75th anniversary season.

The LPGA has never been more dynamic — and Craig is exactly the right leader to drive its next era of growth and impact.”

Before operating for PGA of America, Kessler was once the CEO of the Dallas-based retail corporate Buff City Soap. He serves at the forums of the National Golf Foundation and the UT Southwestern health facility machine.

Liz Moore will proceed as intervening time commissioner till Kessler’s time period starts.
