British Superbike Championship: Event cancelled after ‘catastrophic incident’

The rest of the British Superbike Championship tournament at Oulton Park has been cancelled following a “severe” incident involving 11 riders.

Organisers known as it a “major chain reaction”, which introduced race 3 to a right away prevent right through the primary lap.

Series director Stuart Higgs mentioned the remainder of the development were cancelled.

“As people may have seen it was a severe and catastrophic incident coming off of turn one at the start of the British Supersport race,” Higgs instructed TNT Sports.

“The medical response is still ongoing and as a result we do confirm the event has been cancelled and there will be no more racing today.

“There can be an extra commentary issued by means of Motorsport Vision Racing as we move into the night time when we collate the entire data.”

Race one of the most assembly happened on Sunday with Bradley Ray claiming victory, ahead of Leon Haslam secured his first win since 2018 in Monday’s dash.

Oulton Park in Cheshire used to be internet hosting the primary spherical of the 2025 championship.
