Adelaide nice Rory Sloane does not imagine any long term participant will surpass Collingwood big name Jack Crisp as he breaks the consecutive AFL video games file this week.
Crisp is about to notch up his 245th sport in a row, surpassing Melbourne legend Jim Stynes’ file of 244.
Sloane, who performed 255 video games for the Crows, lauded the fulfillment as one thing really particular.

“No one will ever break that, for sure,” Sloane informed Nine’s Footy Classified.
“That is an unbelievable achievement. I still don’t know how he has done it because with corkies, hamstring injuries, soft tissue injuries, selection, to avoid all of those, it is an incredible achievement.
“It will simply by no means be crushed.”

Crisp’s outstanding streak started in 2014 at Brisbane, playing the final six games of the home-and-away season, before he was traded to Collingwood as part of the Dayne Beams deal.
He has played 238 consecutive games for the Magpies, having not missed selection once since arriving at the club in 2015.
He won the club’s best and fairest award in 2021 and 2022, was a member of the 2023 premiership side and became a life member of the Pies in 2024.

Former Collingwood president Eddie McGuire, however, is less certain that his streak will last forever.
“Yes it’ll (be damaged),” McGuire said.
“Somebody will smash it. We have been fortunate sufficient to sit down in this set with Jim (Stynes) when he broke it.
“They play until they’re 70 now.”
Sloane believes there are too many components within the fashionable sport, together with the low threshold for suspensions, and can not see any individual achieving Crisp’s file.
“I think the game is too fast now that your body will break at some point,” Sloane stated.
“Imagine if (Crisp) were given rubbed out for 3 weeks (via the MRO) with a take on like (Paul Curtis’).”
Crisp will notch up the file in spherical 8 when Collingwood takes on Geelong on the MCG.
