Does science have a long term in the USA?

Over a decade in the past, I sat in my lounge with a host of nerds, tears pricking my eyes, as I noticed the Curiosity rover’s first blurry selfie taken on Mars. The NASA livestream had simply showed the wheeled robotic was once alive and smartly and able to start out doing science! We cheered and hugged and imagined a long term the place our sun gadget could be stuffed with robot explorers, amassing the entire knowledge we’d wish to safely ship people of their wake.
